New 7" Chrome dual booster with master cylinder. This kit also includes the necessary chrome brackets to bolt this unit right up to your 1955, 1956, or 1957 Chevy firewall (may also work on some 1958 models). The master cylinder is used for disc/disc or disc/drum brakes, so it is perfect for converting the drums on your 55, 56, or 57 Chevy to discs.
This master cylinder is a high quality Corvette style master cylinder with a very nice chrome top. It is setup for disc/disc, disc/drum, or drum/drum. It has ports on both sides so you can mount your lines on either side. The ports on this master cylinder are 9/16" and 1/2" They were manufactured with the ports reversed, but that does not affect the braking because the front and rear reservoirs in the master cylinder are equal size and pressure. This master cylinder will be very easy to use especially if you are redoing your brake lines. If you already have your brake lines, then $5.00 worth of new fittings or adaptors will setup perfect on this master cylinder.
The booster in this kit is a 7" Dual Diaphragm style. Dual diaphragm boosters offer 27% better stopping over single diaphragm boosters. Don't take any chances when dealing with a heavy car like your tri-5. It is an awesome way to really add some shine to your car while safely upgrading the brakes.
Other boosters advertise that they fit the 1955-1957, but include no brackets. Without the bracket included here, you'll have a difficult time getting it to fit properly. This bracket makes this booster a true bolt in, firewall mount booster!
